A leading accountancy firm seeks an HR Assistant to join the fantastic People team.
The company
Our client is a well-respected firm of accountants and business advisors, that has been established in the market for more than nine decades. Priding themselves on delivering exceptional service to their clients, they now boast over 70 Partners and multiple offices in and around London. The dynamic People team is made up of HR, L&D, Early Talent, and Recruitment. Passionate about what they do, they are looking for an HR Assistant to join them.
The role
As HR Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of the employee, operationally and administratively, from onboarding through to offboarding. Working alongside an existing HR Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Onboarding new starters including updating their details on the HR system, drafting offer letters and employment contracts, checking each candidate`s right to work in the UK, coordinating inductions, and liaising with other departments to ensure they are set up and ready to go for their first day.
Managing the leaver`s process including acting as the first point of contact for all leaver`s queries, processing all leaver administration, drafting and issuing letters, notifying payroll of any remaining holiday, updating all benefits providers, supporting with exit interviews, and updating the system with leaver information.
Payroll & Benefits As HR Assistant you will be responsible for pension administration, benefits renewals, and admin in relation to salary reviews and promotions. You will process monthly payroll and be the first point of contact for any payroll-related queries.
Other administrative duties - will include maintaining and updating the HR system, producing HR reports, carrying out DBS checks, and note-taking in meetings.
This role will suit an existing HR Assistant or strong HR Administrator, who is keen to progress in their career in HR. As well as taking responsibility for the above, you will have the opportunity to take part in ad-hoc HR project work and develop your technical HR skills by supporting employee relations.
Skills & experience required
Previous experience as an HR Assistant or HR Administrator ideally within professional services
Solid administrative experience
Excellent organisational skills
The ability to work well within a team
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and previous experience with HR systems
