THE ROLE
The role:
Our client, a highly regarded charity within the education sector, is seeking to recruit a Major Grants Fundraiser. This is a unique opportunity which will really make a difference to the charity. The main duties of the role will include leading and managing the fundraising for various projects and initiatives. This will mean that you will need to identify potential grants and funding opportunities from a range of areas including both small and large funding opportunities and approach the major grant giving bodies. You will need to be able to prepare applications for funding and prepare proposals and bids. You will liaise extensively with the academies to identify funding requirements. In addition to identifying funding opportunities you will also need to record all information onto a database and generate reports to monitor progress and outcomes.
You will work closely with all of the academies and primarily the Education teams and any Directors and Academy Principles.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking graduate calibre candidates with a strong administrative background although industry experience is flexible. Strong written capability with a proven track record for writing successful bids and tenders. It would be highly advantageous for the chosen candidate to have knowledge of fundraising and successful strategies although this is not essential.
You will need to be capable of working autonomously, and managing your workload whilst working on numerous projects for different people. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential attributes for this role, as is an analytical manner. A genuine interest in the charity and making a difference to society is crucial.
